5NP is a set of points located in the outer ear that have been used together to address physical and emotional symptoms related to toxic stress, drug and alcohol detox, chronic pain, anxiety, PTSD, depression, trauma, shock and more. These points can be treated with tiny acupuncture needles or even with “ear beads” or “ear seeds,” that are small pellets attached to a tiny bit of bandage adhesive. 5NP has been used for over 40 years and around the world to support harm reduction, recovery and emergency response work.
This interactive workshop is the cutting edge, energy restorative practice of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). EFT is used by more than 20 million people worldwide. It is a form of psychological acupressure that works with the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments. Its effectiveness has been proven in more than 100 studies and has become a practical approach to healing anxiety and trauma. In a recent study of first responders, such as Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Firefighters, Coast Guard personnel, and Police Officers, the participants reported dramatic improvements in their relationships at home, their sleep quality and their general well-being. In this workshop we will learn the Basic Recipe of EFT. Each session, we introduce new techniques as a group, and tap the emotional blocks away using different techniques. We will wrap up each session with a tapping meditation that will leave you feeling relaxed and at peace. By the end of our workshop, you will have a ready to use tool that you can use with confidence when you are feeling anxious, stressed or burned out.
A Recovery Coach's job is to support a participant in pursuing their own goals. A recovery coach is a person with lived experience and uses that experience to meet people where they are at on their recovery journey.
A coach can help with the following things:
*Helping a person form a plan of action
*Directing that person to the right resources
*Helping them navigate the systems in place
*Providing accountability and support
*Offering guidance in developing new behavior patterns
*Helping them view their progress objectively
*Assisting in harm reduction for addictive behaviors
*Providing holistic modalities that include acupuncture, reiki and emotional freedom techniques.
*Our coaches are in recovery too, so they can relate with what you are going through
In other words, a recovery coach helps people with the gritty, day-to-day process of overcoming addiction, codependency & trauma. Recovery coaches are the “boots on the ground".
